Founder, CEO of Takestep

Mohamed Khashaba is the Founder of Takestep. Passionate about providing pathways for people to create a positive impact in this world. In late 2014, Mohamed stepped away from the daily operations of GE Healthcare -after 10 years serving in MENA region- in order to start a new chapter in his journey in the ecosystem of startups - Healthcare startups - after 3 years managing 2 Healthcare startups he decided to launch Takestep which used to be named as DopaApp in its 25 early days, Takestep is a Psycho-Social platform that connects the stakeholders of the mental disorders recovery process together empowering them take control of their recovery and not to relapse again using different innovative tools like Emotion Intelligence Engine and relapse indicator. Takestep had been featured in Business Journal in US as a startup from Egypt relocated to US to help them fight addiction, Takestep empowers now more than 15,000 patients and their guardians from 10 different countries. In the last couple of years he is coaching and consulting practice focused on visionary innovators, entrepreneurs and change makers who are creating positive impact in the world around them. Mohamed specializes in the energetics of leadership, strategic thinking , business models innovation and growth hacking. Mohamed is a mentor at Founder Institute and a consultant for 6 other startups. He has been invited to speak about startups journey, entrepreneurship and market discovery on many occasions, including by World Bank Group, International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Ministry of Higher Education, AUC, Mansoura University ,and by Egypt Starts.
